Privacy policy
Effective October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Julyten, LLC ("Julyten", "we", "us") collects, why, who else handles it, and what choices you have. It covers the Crono107 app (the web app at app.cr107.com and the Crono107 iPhone app, once released) and this website, julyten.com.
The short version
- Crono107 is invite-only. We know your email address and what you record in the app.
- The app uses your location only to measure distance and speed for a run. We save the results of a run, not a track of where you drove.
- We don't sell your information, show ads, or build analytics or advertising trackers into the app or this website.
- This website sets no cookies.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Information we collect in Crono107
Account information
Your email address, your name if you or an organizer entered it, and a role (such as admin or member) that controls what you can do. Crono107 is invite-only: your email address must be on our allowed list before we send you a sign-in code.
Your events and timing data
The events, trials (control routes, average-speed sections, timed sections and transits) and crew names you create or are given access to. For each run you save, we keep the times and differences you recorded, the run type, when it started and finished, odometer corrections, and a log of which GPS receiver was in use and how accurate it was.
Location
With your permission, the app reads your phone's location, and the location of a RaceBox receiver if you connect one, to work out distance travelled and speed during a run.
- The web app reads location only while it is open on your screen.
- The iPhone app reads location while you are using it, and keeps reading it in the background during a run you started, so a run is not lost when the screen turns off. It does not ask for permission to track you at other times.
Location is processed on your device. We save the results of a run (times, distances, speeds), not the coordinates of where you drove.
Bluetooth
The app connects to a RaceBox GPS receiver you choose and reads its position and motion data, for the purposes above. Bluetooth is not used to find or track other people or devices.
Timing hardware data
If your crew trains with Timing107 and road sensors, the times your car crosses each sensor are shared with your account through our database and shown in training mode.
Settings and data on your device
Your preferences (such as units and sounds) are saved to your account. The app also keeps some data on your phone so it can cope with poor signal: a run in progress, and saved runs that are waiting to upload. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days after you last used the app online.
Public rally results
For some events we copy public live-timing results published by the event's official timekeeper, so crews can see the standings. This is not information you give us.
What we don't collect
No payment information, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, and no advertising identifier. We don't build analytics, crash reporting or advertising tools into Crono107 or this website. (On iPhone, Apple may share crash reports with us if you choose to; see section 4.)
2. This website (julyten.com)
- No cookies, analytics or ads. This website doesn't set cookies or run any tracking or analytics code.
- Hosting logs. Like any website, our hosting provider (Replit) receives standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.
- Booking a call. The "Book a call" button opens a Google Calendar scheduling page. What you enter there is collected under Google's privacy policy and shared with us so we can meet you.
- Emailing us. Messages to contact@julyten.com are handled in our Google Workspace email and kept only as long as we need them to respond and keep a record of the conversation.
3. How we use information
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To run Crono107: show your events, time your runs, and save and show your results.
- To keep the service working and secure, and to find and fix problems.
- To reply to you, and to contact you about your account or the service. We don't send marketing email.
4. Who handles your information
Service providers
These providers run parts of Crono107 and this website for us. They process information only on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
| Provider | What for | Information |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign-in for Crono107 | Your account, events, runs and timing data. Hosted in the United States (AWS, us-west-2). |
| Replit | Hosting the Crono107 app, its server and this website | Everything the app sends to our server, and standard web request logs. |
| Resend | Delivering Crono107 sign-in codes by email | Your email address and the one-time code. |
| GitHub | Storing our nightly database backups | A private copy of the Crono107 database, kept for up to 30 days. |
| Google Workspace | Our email | Messages you send us and our replies. |
Services with their own privacy policies
When you use these services, they also handle information under their own privacy policies, which apply to what they collect.
| Service | What for | Information |
|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | The "Book a call" scheduling page | What you enter when you book a call, collected under Google's privacy policy and shared with us so we can meet you. |
| Apple | Distributing the Crono107 iPhone app, once released | Handled under Apple's privacy policy. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us crash reports and app usage statistics. |
Other members of your crew or event can see the runs and crew names that belong to a shared event, as its organizer sets up. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
Your information is stored in the United States. If you use Crono107 from another country, your information is transferred to the United States to provide the service.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and run data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and your saved runs within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something. Our database backups expire after 30 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within 30 days after that. Data stored on your phone is removed when you delete the app or clear the site's data in your browser.
6. Your choices and rights
- Location and Bluetooth: you can turn either off in your phone's settings. Runs that need them won't work fully without them.
- Access, correction and deletion: email contact@julyten.com. We reply within 30 days, and may need to confirm it's you. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may also have the right to receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to a regulator.
- No sale or advertising: we don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- Signing out: signing out ends your session on that device.
7. Security
Connections use HTTPS, sign-in uses one-time codes sent to your email, and sessions use secure cookies that pages' scripts can't read. Access to the database is limited to our server. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Crono107 is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. For material changes, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
